Welcome

(so glad you're here)

Welcome to “View from the Parsonage,” where I share my heart as a pastor’s wife and homemaker.

For the past few months, I have felt a nudge from the Lord to start this page. With zero knowledge of “writing skills,” I was hesitant. What would I say? What would people think? Would anyone even look at this page? Would it be beneficial to the readers?

The conclusion I came to was this: All of the things I was doing to fill a craving for satisfaction through a hobby weren’t at all what I expected them to be. I know that when our desires line up with the desires of Christ, that is when we will truly be satisfied.

And right now, I feel He wants me to start this blog—even if it is just for me to express through words all that He has done inside my heart.

So, with that being said, I’ll start off with a little bit about myself.

My name is Kayla Webster. I’m just a simple girl who grew up in Southern Illinois. I married my husband, Jesse, a little over 12 years ago. It was, obviously in my opinion, the most beautiful day! We were surrounded by our favorite people on the perfect fall day in October.

Since then, we have been blessed with five beautiful children. Caroline, Eliza, William, Julia, and Olivia keep us laughing and busy, but we wouldn’t trade them for the world!

I love spending time with my family, making my home a place of refuge and peace, and serving in the local church. Hopefully, in future posts, I’ll be able to share more about the church we have been pastoring for the last seven and a half years, our house remodeling and building experiences, and so much more.

I can’t wait to share all that the Lord has done in my family’s life!

Until then, I pray that the Lord blesses you and keeps you, and that all that you do be done FOR HIS GLORY!

xoxo,
Kayla
